The Book of Acts tells how the Church began after Jesus went to heaven. The Holy Spirit came at Pentecost, giving the disciples power to preach. The gospel spread as the apostles performed miracles and faced persecution. Saul (Paul) was converted and became a missionary, helping take the message of Jesus to Gentiles and many nations. The book ends with Paul in Rome, still boldly preaching about Christ.
