Shaped to Serve — Romans 12:3–8

Romans 12:3–8 teaches us that God has uniquely shaped every believer with different gifts, abilities, and purposes. We are not called to compare ourselves with others, but to recognize what God has placed inside us and faithfully use it to serve His body.

Main idea: God shapes us differently, but He gives every one of us a purpose in His Kingdom.

3 key points:

Know who you are — Don’t think too highly or too lowly of yourself. Walk in humility.

Know how you are shaped — We are one body with many members, and each person has a different function.

Use what God gave you — Gifts are not meant to be hidden; they are meant to serve others and build up the church.

Sermon takeaway:

You were not shaped just to sit—you were shaped to serve. Your gifts, experiences, personality, and calling can become tools in God’s hands when you surrender them to Him.

Key phrase:

“Different gifts, one body, one purpose: serving God and serving people.”
